About
America's Real Deal
America’s Real Deal is an exciting interactive, business reality competition show that invites the TV viewers to invest in vetted companies, right along with the wealthy ICONS.
We set out to create the most entertaining, interactive business competition show for the masses.
It had to have lots of drama and suspense in a fun high energy competitive production.
It needed wealthy impact-investing ICONS who respect the participants for the businesses they have built, without devaluing the people or the project. Investors who are able to educate the TV viewers on the risks and assumed advantages of each business.
It had to allow the TV audience to do more than text in a vote, instead, they would get to vote to their favorite social media platform creating a viral marketing effect, and also have the chance to easily buy the products they see on the screen, and invest directly into the businesses just like only the wealthy do on other shows. Presenting America’s Real Deal - Newly revised for Season Two.
Show Format:
In each episode three companies compete to win that episode based on three rounds of competition with votes and real investments from our incredible ICONS and our savvy investors on Millionaires’ Row. Then our TV viewers are invited to invest right alongside the investors as all 18 companies compete throughout the season to be crowned the Season Champion and win an extra $100,000 investment based on votes, purchases and investments from the TV audience.
Encouraging Small Businesses:
According to the Small Business Administration, small businesses account for two-thirds of net new jobs and account for 44% of the US economic activity, yet less than 10% of all small business loan applications are approved. This leaves credit cards and “Friends & Families” or wading into dangerous waters with sharks who want to devalue the business or assume control. Our show investors invest at fair, fixed valuations, and often sign on as mentors and advisors.
Involving Isolated Americans:
96% of Americans eighteen and older have been isolated from investing in vetted private companies, as the law previously only allowed the rich to invest in such opportunities. Yet every sophisticated investor knows that these are the only investments that could have a 25, 50, 100 or even 1,000 times return on investment. That is why the rich continue to get richer. Now don’t get us wrong, we like the rich, we couldn’t be doing this show without them, but we know it’s time to give people like my dad and mom who were school teachers raising eleven boys, who were never rich, the same opportunity to get in on the ground floor of vetted, in-revenue or real asset-based companies that can scale.
We are building a community of investors who in the past had very little pride of ownership, maybe a house, maybe a car, maybe a few nice pairs of shoes, but they don’t really know what is in their 401K. With America’s Real Deal, now they will be able to walk taller, because they have the potential to build a legacy for their family and join a group of like-minded individuals who invest in people busting their butt to live the American dream.
Creating American Ambassadors:
Average Retail Investors, like my hard working mom and dad, who had to wait until companies went public, (after the big multiples were already enjoyed by the early investors), never had the opportunity to invest in private companies alongside sharks and other wealthy celebrities on any business TV shows. .With America’s Real Deal, they can simply scan the QR code or go to the website and invest, buy products and vote for their favorite business. And with pride of ownership comes social and word of mouth promotion for these businesses. Real Ambassadors who have a vested interest in the company’s success.
Watching out for the Business Owners:
The biggest fear for business owners on other shows was looking stupid, the second was having to negotiate on the fly a discount on the valuation of the business they have worked so hard for. On America’s Real Deal, there are no negotiations, and no insults. Just solid questions and time for business owners to share their story and their dream with America.
Watching out for our Accredited Investors who are on our set during filming:
Our wealthy ICONS and investors on Millionaires’ Row will never back out of a deal after they shake hands, because they have all the information ahead of time that you, the TV viewing investor will have when you invest. This means when our investors on-set say they are “IN” on an investment, money moves from our Fund they have invested in, directly into the business owner’s crowdfunding campaign account. This retains their integrity and ours. The viewer won’t ever have to wonder if the money was invested because when you go to the campaign you will see the money in their campaign. Just like you can see investments in this offering.
Risks of Investing in this offering and in companies on our show:
Investing in private businesses carries a high degree of risk, you should only invest what you can afford to lose. So please don’t use your grocery or rent money, or borrow money to invest. It may take several years to see a return, if there ever is one, and an investment is not a loan where you can ask for your money back if your car breaks down or for any other reason. The companies put the money right to work.
Our successful Season One:
1. We produced eight episodes with host Marie Osmond, aired on Fox Business Network and on our streaming channels on Roku, Apple, Android, and Amazon Fire. Then Biz.tv and RightnowTelevision ran it on reruns/syndication.
2.The businesses raised over $2M and sold over $2M in product.
3.The Final four companies that we invested in grew in one year, 22%, 29%, 33% and 197%, and increased valuations between $385,000 to $13.2M.
Season Two Production:
Having proved our model, we set out to bring in the best in Hollywood in competition and business reality show formats. We succeeded, We..
1. Brought in reality TV Executive Producer/Showrunner Holly Wofford who produced American Ninja Warrior, Survivor, TKO with Kevin Hart etc.
2. Hired Robin Feinberg, previous Senior VP of CNBC who produced, The Profit, American Greed, Business Hunters and Money Court.
3. Hired Scott Storey. Set designer of Wipeout, MTV awards, and food network sets to design our new Season Two set.
4. Integrated our proprietary “Vote” system for sharing out on social media on Facebook & LinkedIN through our website.
5. Brought in Key TV show PR firm Interdependence - at the ready when we have the air date and network.
Why do we have our own Equity Crowdfunding Offering?
We didn’t want to be hypocrites. We couldn’t build a show that invites everyone watching that they should get a chance to invest in the ground floor of an exciting new business and then not let everyone have ownership in what we believe will be the most entertaining, interactive show in history. You can now have ownership in a TV show!
Sure, we could get a one or two guys to finance the entire thing, but we think differently, we believe that if we have 10,000 people who invest $100 each, we will have raised $1,000,000, but more importantly we will have 10,000 Ambassadors that can help us announce to the world, which network, and the day and time of each episode. For being our first crowd investors you get in at $1.00 a share. The same price the wealthy invested in us to create Season One and to get Season Two off the ground. We won’t offer it at this price again. Those of you who jump in - we hope you will invest more than your cash. We want you to join our cause and help us spread the word. And everyone of you who invests $1,000 can join us for free at our annual conferences forever! (Tickets will sell for $1,000 each year.)
Expansion Plans:
We want to perfect the model here in the United States and then have fun special “Celebrity,” “Professional Athletes,” “Female Founders,” “Heroes” and other Special Editions in between our regular seasons.
Once we are cooking here, we plan to jump around the world: Britain’s Real Deal, Brazil’s Real Deal, Canada’s Real Deal, Arab’s Real Deal etc...Your investment will profit from all these strategies, if we can create a profit from the show. How do we expect to do that?
Revenue Model:
We expect to earn money from advertising, sponsorships, product placement or outright episodic purchases by a network, AND, (and this is a big “and,”) we will earn 10% to 35% of the product sales when viewers click the QR code or go to our website to purchase the products of the companies presenting on our show. This is similar to QVC or Home Shopping Network, except they buy their airtime. We are an entertainment show and were in syndication for Season One without paying for it.
Why?
We are an idealistic group. We believe in America and the American Dream. We believe that everyone should get a chance to be included in an educational community that vets quality companies and invites their members to invest with them, before the companies go public.
For example: If you were an accredited investor and invested $100 in Twitter when it was just starting out, that $100 investment grew to $159,627.00, between 2006 to 2013. However, non-accredited investors, (most of America) had to wait until the company was public in to invest. If you invested $100 after Twitter went public in 2013 to today, your stock would have an estimated value of under $300 bucks. There are hundreds of companies with this kind of growth from private to public, not just one or two like we are led to believe. And there are thousands that grow $100 to $10,000. We want to give everyone the same chance the wealthy have had. But remember, even the wealthy can lose all their investment capital. So invest wisely.
Investment Strategy?
Diversify. Maybe set aside $100 a month to invest in one private company. According to some private equity analysts, 50% may fail, 30% may breakeven, but some of them could do very well. It is why every VC and PE Fund exist. Read the disclosures and learn about each company, invest in people and businesses you have confidence in. Join our community to see what other people think. Attend our conferences to learn about investing and meet business owners. In the example below, you can see how the accredited investors (the millionaires), invested early and saw amazing returns on a simple $100 investment, but those who weren’t millionaires had to wait until these companies went public, and didn’t enjoy the same multiples. You now have an opportunity to join them in investing in early stage companies by joining us. AND, by investing in this offering, you could benefit from the potential profits generated by promoting these businesses on our entertaining television show.
